Dates: 6/16/25 - 6/22/25

This week, I created a more detailed power budget, including a comprehensive overview sheet outlining the components, power calculations, and estimated usage. I also performed several revisions and general maintenance tasks on the project website to improve organization and clarity.

Another task that was done was to modify the task allocation and distribution of responsibilities table as per the feedback provided last meeting to be more specific on goals and each team members focus.

Work began on the CAD project file, where I started modeling individual components—currently, the face shield and IR sensors have been completed. These will later be assembled into a full system drawing once all parts are finalized.

Within the Engineering Requirements and Specifications document, I updated terminology by replacing “response” with “electro-mechanical module” and added details for microcontroller GPIO and ADC pin requirements to account for analog and digital inputs. Also rephrased the engineering requirement again to try and provide clear and concise meaning for temperature load and test criteria.

Additionally, I upgraded our battery choice to an 8000 mAh model, replacing the previous 7000 mAh unit, which lacked a protection board and was unable to sustain operation for more than two hours under full load with power calculations.

I also connected with Tyler from Lighthouse of Central Florida as a follow up from our last meeting. Currently, their IT department is in accordance that the survey is accessible and ready for proper distribution with online formats for our survey and the next meeting we should have some word from HR in regards to the rest of their assessment of our survey and are anticipating a two week time frame for the full release of the survey to start gathering contributions and responses.

Still currently awaiting a response form the Office of Students with Disabilities (OSD) from Valencia College after i sent a follow up email in regards to the survey support request.

On the website, I added visual references to the homepage showcasing  comparable products to the NAVI, revised the References page to adhere to IEEE formatting standards, and expanded the content to include further research and components.

Researched Peltier Modules for Thermoelectric Cooling in the possibiy of needing cooling for the NAVI project.

Lastly, I restructured the website's navigation menu and updated various labels, such as renaming “Resources” to “Reference,” to improve usability and alignment with project documentation.
