This week, I continued developing my skills in CAD using self-guided tutorials in Fusion 360. I made further progress on the NAVI device’s CAD model by designing the haptic motor based on our preferences of the one wanting to be used in the project and beginning to plan the placement of sensors within the enclosure.

I also created and embedded an interactive 3D model of the NAVI device onto our website and added detailed dimensioned views to the main page to enhance visual understanding of the design.

In preparation for upcoming presentations, I began working on the PowerPoint deck and have drafted several preliminary slides.

On the website, I renamed the “Progress Overview” section to “Progress Log” for consistency in wording and adjusted the navigation menu layout to display all sections clearly for easier access. Additionally, I updated the visual design of various areas, including refreshing the color palette and backgrounds for sections like “Product Vision".

I developed a new Google Slides presentation to display survey responses from our focus group and added it to the survey section of the website.

I created and styled two new Google Sheets — a project timeline and a Gantt chart — and embedded them into the website to match its overall theme. I also corrected a budget discrepancy by updating the IR sensor count from 6 to the planned 8.

For documentation purposes, I provided Anthony with a summary of my correspondence with Lighthouse of Central Florida.

I updated both the group and my individual progress logs for Week 10 and uploaded relevant images related to the designed vibration motor to support project tracking and visual documentation.

Lastly, I updated the references page by adding two new research articles focused on how visually impaired individuals navigate in daily life.
