Interim Progress Report

Dates: 07/26/25 - 08/17/25

Over the semester break, the NAVI project faced an unexpected challenge. A laptop failure during a software update resulted in the loss of all locally stored CAD files, and upon further review showed that the CAD files were not saved to a cloud backup server. Rather than allowing this setback to delay progress, the CAD model was fully rebuilt in Fusion 360. This process required over 100 hours of dedicated effort, using previously saved component renderings and images from the website as reference points to carefully reconstruct the design. The rebuild not only restored the ddesign to its prior state but also provided an opportunity to refine and improve several components, keeping the project on track.

In addition to the CAD work, the website was further developed. The Senior Design section on the main page was organized into categories, and corresponding webpages were created to prepare for upcoming content.

Lastly, draft posts were outlined in the blog’s categories to help streamline future updates. This step will make it easier to stay ahead on communication while leaving more time to focus on other tasks that require heavy development effort.
